FAQ

What is TestFlight and how do I join?

TestFlight is Apple's official platform for distributing beta apps before they launch on the App Store. To join the Maqam Prayer beta, tap this TestFlight link on your iPhone. You'll be prompted to install the free TestFlight app from Apple if you don't have it already, then you can install Maqam Prayer and start testing.

Does Maqam Prayer support beginners?

Yes. Novice-focused guidance and readable step flow are core parts of the app.

Which of the five daily prayers does the app support?

All five — Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. Each prayer is fully guided with the correct number of Rak'ahs, Arabic text, transliteration, and meaning for every step.

Does the app play the Adhan?

Yes. Maqam Prayer includes Adhan support with audio options you can configure in settings. You can enable or disable it per prayer according to your preference.

Can users customize prayer pacing?

Yes. Users can adjust pause timing in settings and during prayer steps.

Does Maqam Prayer include Qibla and Wudu?

Yes. It includes a Qibla compass and a dedicated Wudu guide.

Does Maqam Prayer include a Quran guide and audio recitations?

Yes. The app includes a Quran guide with the Arabic text and English translation for the Surahs recited during Salah. You can also listen to audio recitations directly in the app, making it easier to learn the correct pronunciation at your own pace before and during prayer.

Does the app work offline?

The guided Salah flow, Wudu guide, and all in-prayer content work fully offline. Location access is needed once to calculate accurate prayer times for your area — after that, the app works without an internet connection.

Is my location data stored or shared?

No. Location is used only to determine prayer times and Qibla direction and is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties. All settings and preferences stay on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What iPhone or iOS version do I need?

Maqam Prayer requires iOS 16 or later. It is currently available for iPhone only via TestFlight — an iPad version is not yet supported.
